Hurricane Hunters flew into Hurricane Erin’s eye on Friday — and captured imagery showing its “breathtaking stadium effect.” Erin started out as a tropical storm on Friday morning before undergoing extreme rapid intensification and strengthening to a Category 5 on Saturday.
