Slicing through an Xerocomellus bolete may be the most relaxing way to get through a Friday. Scientific naming isn’t always a walk in the park. The common name for boletes that have yellow/red stipes, yellow pores (that stain blue), and a red/brown cap with an uneven surface is “Zellers Bolete”.
