On August 4, 1995 Smoky Mountain Wresting’s “Super Bowl of Wrestling” took place at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee. According to Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer, the show drew a crowd of 5,000, making this the best-attended card in the history of the promotion. The show featured a cross-promotion between SMW, USWA, MTW, NWA and the WWF. Matches on the card included: Shawn Michael taking on Buddy Landel, D-Lo Brown taking on Brian Armstrong, Al Snow taking on Marty Jannett
