Penguin the magpie was rescued by the Bloom family of Newport when she fell out of a tree as a chick. Penguin became a constant companion for mother Sam, who is confined to a wheelchair after a catastrophic accident. Their story is told in a new book by husband and father Cameron, a professional photographer, whose photos document Penguin's loving presence in the Bloom household.
