I didn't dive that much into it , the actual video ,but here's my personal take. I just don't personally think it's all that necessary to give a cartoon character gloves to make them look retro/ if the characters occupation doesn't require them to need gloves , don't give them any. i make the exception for cartoon animals since the point is to make them up here more human and the gloves help with that. but for general human designs ,they dont always need them.
