Earlier today, members of the Class of 2018 from Ashbrook High School participated in a Senior Walk at Gardner Park Elementary. It gave the seniors an opportunity to return to their elementary school where their educational journey began 13 years ago. Last week, Chapel Grove Elementary fifth graders had a special opportunity to sit down and interview local veterans. They listened, learned, and connected as they heard stories of service, sacrifice, and pride that brought history to life in a powerful way. Next week, these students will honor the 30 veterans they interviewed by sharing what they learned and hosting a schoolwide appreciation ceremony.
