Father of missing Southern California baby has past child abuse conviction, court records show
Authorities have searched the family home multiple times in connection to the boy's disappearance last week in Yucaipa.
The Los Angeles Times reported this week that Emmanuel’s father, Jack Haro, was convicted in June 2023 of willful child cruelty for an incident involving another child. He is due in court in September for that case, the outlet said.

On Friday, Haro, her husband, and friends showed up at the Big 5 parking lot in Yucaipa to hand out flyers, desperate for Emmanuel's return. "To the person who took my son, please just give him back to us we'll forgive you. We won't bother you, we just want our baby boy," Emmanuel's father, Jake Haro, said.

Trader Joe’s newest Inland Empire grocery store opens on Thursday, Aug. 21, in Yucaipa. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick off the celebration immediately before the doors open 9 a.m. at 31545 Yucaipa Blvd. in the Yucaipa Pointe shopping center. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
