Officer killed in Pennsylvania hospital shooting had turned 30 days earlier: coroner
Officer Duarte had just celebrated his 30th birthday on Feb. 17, less than a week before Saturday’s shooting, according to the York County Coroner’s Office. He had been a West York police officer since June 2022 after serving five years with the Denver Police Department in Colorado.
Police found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds to the backs of their heads inside a crashed car in Garfield.
The hospital confirmed that all staff members of UPMC Memorial are medically stable and progressing in their recovery.
