APOPKA, Fla. — An Apopka family described a frightening drive home Saturday when a row of light poles suddenly came crashing down along Park Avenue during a thunderstorm.

As of 2:45 p.m. Monday, 317 flights had been delayed at DIA and 17 had been canceled, according to flight tracking data from FlightAware.

According to a Facebook post from the district, "Some campuses are holding students while the worst of the thunderstorm moves through."

"I just can't comprehend how someone could see that sweet face and not want to spoil and love them every single day of their life," one user said.

Environment Canada issued the severe thunderstorm warning for the area west of Reid Lake as meteorologists are tracking a storm capable of producing strong wind gusts, heavy rain and hail up to the size of a nickel. By 3:30 p.m. weather data showed the storm moving northeast, away from Prince George.
