The series used to be called the Pataudi Trophy when played in England and the Anthony de Mello Trophy when held in India

India and England will now play for the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy. The two legends will unveil the new silverware during the WTC final.

The India-England Test series will now be called the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, honoring cricketing legends James Anderson and Sachin Tendulkar. The trophy will be unveiled at the World Test Championship final at Lord's.
