The PGA continues into the final two rounds at TPC Deere Run for the 2025 John Deere Classic on Fourth of July weekend. The friendly confines of northern Illinois offer up a chance for another first-time winner as the field is relatively light on star power entering the concluding 36-hole stretch.

A year ago, Davis Thompson won the event for his first PGA Tour victory. He was the 24th golfer to make the JDC his first PGA Tour win. He is in contention once again at TPC Deere Run, tied for second, a shot back, in his effort to defend his title. Last week's winner, Aldrich Potgieter, is just three shots off the lead after he shot 66 on Friday.

Lucas Glover said on his Sirius XM show that he doesn't want anyone from the rival circuit back on the PGA Tour despite the two tours agreeing to unify.
