Millions of people turned out for "No Kings" protests nationwide on Saturday that were largely peaceful though there were some arrests and police had to disperse unruly crowds, including in Georgia and Los Angeles.

A man was arrested after DPS identified a “credible threat” toward legislators attending Saturday’s “No Kings” protest at the Texas State Capitol.

The largely peaceful protests during the "No Kings Day" demonstration in downtown Los Angeles took an intense turn in the afternoon. Police ordered the crowd to disperse at about 4:15 p.m. PDT near Alameda Street and Temple Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division.

On the same day Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered in a "politically-motivated" assassination, more "politically-motivated" violence occurred at peaceful protests across the country.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Despite warnings from the governor, the Texas National Guard was largely not a factor during Saturday’s “No Kings” protests. The seeming lack of presence was a welcome sight for at least one Austin state senator who attended the Capitol protest.

The LAPD said on social media that the people in the crowd were throwing "rocks, bricks, bottles and other objects" while they were near the federal building.
