EDMONTON -- Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid, the second- and fourth-leading scorers in the NHL this season, each is expected to be out up to a week for the Edmonton Oilers and will not play against the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Place on Saturday (10 p.m. ET; CBC, SN, CITY, KONG, KING 5, KHN).

Knoblauch said McDavid will be sidelined for “maybe a week” with a lower-body injury, while Draisaitl’s timeline is “up to a week.”

The Edmonton Oilers will be without both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl for a few games, head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed Friday while providing a return timeline. Knoblauch ruled the pair out of Saturday’s game against the Seattle Kraken and said they are “probably up to a week” away from returning.
