President Donald Trump met Tuesday with King Abdullah II as the Jordanian leader says his country will take in thousands of sick Palestinian kids displaced in the Gaza Strip.

President Donald Trump once again insisted the US will take control of the Gaza Strip, as he met Jordan's King Abdullah at the White House on Tuesday. It was their first meeting since Trump announced his plan to take over the enclave and move its population of two million Palestinians to other countries in the region,

Jordan, already home to over 2 million Palestinians, has strongly rejected Trump’s proposal to relocate more refugees from Gaza, with Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi calling the idea “firm and unwavering” in its opposition. Egypt, too, has raised security concerns over the potential influx of refugees.
