Offensive line coach Hank Fraley, considered a potential offensive coordinator the Chicago Bears, is set to stay put with the Detroit Lions.

Hank Fraley isn't going anywhere. The Lions offensive line coach is staying with Detroit in 2025. Fraley had interviewed for the offensive coordinator position with the Seattle Seahawks and was also under consideration to join former Lions coaches Ben Johnson

Following Detroit’s shocking upset loss in the Divisional Round, Fraley received his second interview with Seattle. This time, it was in-person. However, it appears Fraley is opting to remain in the Motor City, not pursuing opportunities in the Pacific Northwest or perhaps with the Chicago Bears under his former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.

The Seattle Seahawks have been on a search for a new offensive coordinator, and Hank Fraley was one of the biggest names on the list. The search will continue for a new OC, but we now can confirm that the offensive line coach from the Detroit Lions is officially staying.

Fraley originally came to Detroit in the 2018 season and took over the offensive line room in 2020. He stayed with the organization through the coaching change from Matt Patricia

Fraley’s unit has been the foundation of a top-five NFL offense each of the last three seasons. The Lions led the league in scoring this season.

The Lions will add a run-game coordinator bump to their O-line coach’s title, NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero tweets. This will ensure Fraley stays in charge of one of the NFL’s top O-lines, and it takes a name out of consideration for the Seahawks. The Lions had lost Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn and Terrell Williams this week.
