The Australian government has banned the AI company on all government devices and networks over fears about national security

Australia has banned DeepSeek from all government devices over concerns that the Chinese artificial intelligence startup poses security risks, the government said on Tuesday.

Queensland, Western Australia, the ACT and the Northern Territory have become the latest state and territory governments to ban the use of DeepSeek on government devices. They join South Australia and NSW which had initiated earlier bans.
