Authorities have searched the family home multiple times in connection to the boy's disappearance last week in Yucaipa.

The search for missing seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro continues amid revelations that his father, Jake Haro, has a felony child cruelty conviction. Inconsistencies in the parents' accounts have led to investigators saying they can't 'rule out foul play.

The Los Angeles Times reported this week that Emmanuel’s father, Jack Haro, was convicted in June 2023 of willful child cruelty for an incident involving another child. He is due in court in September for that case, the outlet said.

The vehicle belonging to a Sacramento woman who went missing with her baby last month has been found submerged in a central California canal, and authorities say two bodies discovered inside likely belong to the mother and child.

Emmanuel Haro was reported missing on Thursday after someone attacked his mother outside of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in the 34500 block of Yucaipa Boulevard, according to the family. Mother Rebecca Haro said she was changing her baby's diaper when someone punched her. When she came to, she ran into the sporting goods store and called 911.

Seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro was last seen in the parking lot of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store on Thursday. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is investigating.

The desperate search for a 7-month-old baby continued on Monday as San Bernardino County deputies combed through several areas in Yucaipa and Cabazon, including the family's home. Laurie Perez reports.
