The Harrisburg Woodies earned the program’s first amateur baseball state championship with a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Renner Monarchs Sunday. The Monarchs scored three in the bottom of the first to take a 3-1 lead but were held scoreless the final eight innings.
Parkston attempted to rally back but they would only get within two, the Hartford-Humboldt Gamecocks are your Class B champs winning 10-8. Three batters had multiple hits, Noah Vettrus closed out the game allowing one run in his two innings pitched.

The Parkston Devil Rays scored eight runs in the eighth inning to surge past the Hartford-Humboldt Gamecocks 10-8 in the Class ‘B’ amateur state title game Sunday afternoon. The Gamecocks led 6-1 through seven innings before the Gamecocks loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the eighth.
