Despite the state’s ban on pride flags displayed on government property and in public schools, people in Utah are waving their flags in the air.
The incident follows a May 16 act of vandalism at the same school, where two hooded individuals removed a Pride flag and set it on fire around 11:35 p.m. That day, all Thames Valley District school board sites raised the flag to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

Irvine leaders raised the Progress Pride Flag in front of City Hall on Thursday, May 22, in honor of Harvey Milk Day and the city’s fourth annual Pride in Irvine event. The flag will fly through the end of Pride month, June 30.

Attendees were proudly sporting the colors of the LGBTQ+ flag and also carrying the 600-foot pride flag as they marched up Walnut Street.
