Despite the state’s ban on pride flags displayed on government property and in public schools, people in Utah are waving their flags in the air.
The incident follows a May 16 act of vandalism at the same school, where two hooded individuals removed a Pride flag and set it on fire around 11:35 p.m. That day, all Thames Valley District school board sites raised the flag to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
Sunday marked the biggest and boldest day of the Pittsburgh Pride festival, as thousands gathered Downtown to celebrate the start of Pride Month. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple painted the Steel City. "It's fun! I love having fun. It's a fun time for me and my friends," said Faith Muse.
Irvine leaders raised the Progress Pride Flag in front of City Hall on Thursday, May 22, in honor of Harvey Milk Day and the city’s fourth annual Pride in Irvine event. The flag will fly through the end of Pride month, June 30.

The Morro Bay City Council declared June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month on Tuesday, but some citizens said the expression of support felt empty because only two weeks ago, the City Council rescinded a policy that allowed the city to fly the Pride flag.
From festivals to film screenings, there are plenty of pride events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community all month long throughout the Bucks County area.
Attendees were proudly sporting the colors of the LGBTQ+ flag and also carrying the 600-foot pride flag as they marched up Walnut Street.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the history of the LGBTQ community through different community organizations like the Neville Public Museum.
