Alien: Earth creator Noah Hawley recently spoke about how Sydney Chandler’s Wendy communicated with a Xenomorph in Episode 4 and whether she can control these extraterrestrial creatures. Alien: Earth is the first live-action TV series in the Alien franchise and takes place two years before the events of 1979’s Alien.

Wendy’s empathy for the baby Xenomorph was something that was shared by Alien: Earth star Sydney Chandler. “I did find myself picturing my dog who passed away a few years ago.” Chandler revealed that she pictured the Xeno as her beloved deceased pet Ruby. She also joked that she took the Xenomorph home.

Earth," we learn that Wendy (Sydney Chandler) has some sort of connection to the Xenomorphs acquired by Prodigy. She can hear them "speaking" when no one else can, and she feels their pain on a visceral enough level that it causes her to faint.
