Walking past the Bob Uecker statue on his day of celebration at American Family Field, a sportcoat caught our eye. It was plaid. It was Brewers colors. It was so Ueck.

The Brewers honored Uecker with a celebration of life tribute prior to the Brewers-Giants game Aug. 24. The ceremony was hosted by fellow Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Costas, who worked with Uecker on national NBC telecasts.

The Milwaukee Brewers held a celebration of life for Bob Uecker on Sunday at American Family Field. A former journeyman catcher in the major leagues, Uecker became one of the best-known personalities in the sport as the Brewers' play-by-play broadcaster for 54 years before passing away at age 90 in January.
