NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero in a post on X reports the Philadelphia Eagles acquire wide receiver John Metchie III from the Houston Texans for tight end Harrison Bryant and 2026 draft pick swap.

The Eagles traded for Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the Eagles sent a 2026 fifth-round pick and tight end Harrison Bryant to Houston in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick and Metchie.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, the team traded away receiver John Metchie III in a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Schefter posted that Houston will get tight end Harris Bryant and a faith-round pick out of it.

After spending last summer as a trade candidate, John Metchie remained in place with the Houston Texans. That will not be the case in 2025, however.
