SpaceX rolled the upper stage of its Starship megarocket out to the pad this morning (Jan. 9) ahead of its planned Jan. 13 test flight.

SpaceX is providing free Starlink internet terminals and service as LA wildfire response, along with Direct-to-cell texting for T-Mobile.

Those with T-Mobile service in the Los Angeles area will be able to stay connected through SpaceX's Starlink satellite service.

Satellite-based texting is no longer limited to a select group of devices. T-Mobile and Starlink have announced a partnership that brings satellite messaging capabilities to any smartphone on T-Mobile’s network,
