After reports surfaced that multiple NFL teams have reached out to the Atlanta Falcons about the possibility of acquiring tight end Kyle Pitts's services, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler provided an update on where both parties stand Saturday.

If the Browns don't find a long-term quarterback in trade acquisition Kenny Pickett or rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, they'll likely target a QB at the top of the 2026 draft. Current starting tight end David Njoku is set to be a free agent in 2026, and rookie Harold Fannin Jr. is unproven.

Tight ends need the ball to make an impact, and Pitts hasn't been featured as much since Matt Ryan was still in Atlanta. The fifth-year tight end failed to develop chemistry with former Falcons quarterbacks Desmond Ridder, Marcus Mariota and Taylor Heinicke.
