D.C. United will host Inter Miami CF at Audi Field, hoping to put their recent struggles behind them. The Black-and-Red are far from their best form and currently sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Baltasar Rodriguez's second half strike salvaged a road point for Inter Miami, who were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with Lionel Messi still absent.

Just after entering the match, De Paul found 22-year-old Baltasar Rodríguez, who scored his first career MLS goal in the 64th minute. The game remained tied at 1-1 for the rest of regulation. Inter Miami will face in-state rival Orlando City in the Leagues Cup semifinal on Wednesday.

Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba will not travel or play with Inter Miami in their Saturday, Aug. 23 MLS match at D.C. United.

The MLS summer transfer window is drawing to a close and Inter Miami are still working on bringing more reinforcements.
