The child was among 23 to 25 girls from the camp who had been unaccounted for following flash floods that swept through Central Texas.

Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said in a press conference Sunday morning that, as of 9 a.m., 59 people have died in the catastrophic flooding stemming from a storm early Friday morning in Kerrville, Texas. Of the 59 victims, 38 are adults including 18 unidentified, and 21 are children including four unidentified.

Camp Mystic co-owner Dick Eastland, described as "one of the most selfless men," reportedly died trying to rescue campers from catastrophic flooding.
