The paintings are both full-length portraits with the King standing in the throne room at St James’s Palace while the Queen is in the garden room of the couple’s London home, Clarence House.

The King and Queen's coronation state portraits will be on display in the National Gallery's Central Room from May 6 until June 5. They will then be moved to the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace.
