Jack Hughes scored at 4:06 of overtime to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 4-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night at Bell Centre.

The New Jersey Devils headed north of the boarder on Saturday to face the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre. It was the first of many games without Jacob Markstrom as the Devils’ No.1 goaltender will be sidelined 4-6 weeks.

But one win is obviously not enough to snap a team out of an almost month long slide. After this evening, however, the Devils can say that they officially have a winning streak going, as Jack Hughes’ overtime goal lifted New Jersey to a 4-3 win over the Canadiens in Montreal on Saturday night.
