President Trump's executive order to crack down on sanctuary policies names three dozen cities around New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem quietly removed a list of “sanctuary” states, cities, and counties after outrage from the National Sheriffs’ Association.

The list is aimed to crack down on what the Trump administration sees as places that do not comply with its illegal immigration push.

The counties ended up on the list despite efforts to find ways to challenge Washington state’s “sanctuary” law.

A list issued by the Department of Homeland Security said many law enforcement agencies are promoting sanctuary cities, including several North Dakota counties. However, sheriffs say those claims are unfounded.

We are exposing these sanctuary politicians who harbor criminal illegal aliens and defy federal law,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.

A federal Department of Homeland Security report identified the city of Lebanon and adjacent town of Hanover as the only communities in New Hampshire it identifies as being “sanctuary” communities

The Trump administration is putting over 500 “sanctuary jurisdictions” on notice that they may be obstructing immigration enforcement.
