A planetary alignment, or a "planet parade" according to the internet, will grace our night sky just after dusk, according to SkyatNightMagazine. We'll see six planets in the first part of February – Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Venus and Saturn – and on Feb. 28, they'll be joined by Mercury.

This February, skywatchers are in for a treat. Bright planets such as Venus, Mars, and Jupiter will rule the night sky.

Skywatchers can spot Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars in the night sky with the naked eye, but two other planets might need a telescope to be seen.

Because planets always appear in a line, the alignment isn't anything out of the norm. What's less common is seeing so many bright planets at once.

As long as Connecticut skies stay clear, residents should be able to see a number of planets as they put on a special celestial show.
