TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed goaltender Brandon Halverson to a two-year NHL contract, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today. The contract will begin this season and extend through the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

With Jonas Johansson out day-to-day, Brandon Halverson may get the opportunity to stick around in Tampa for a bit.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have assigned forward Conor Geekie to the Syracuse Crunch, it was announced Tuesday. Geekie, who was acquired by the Lightning in the Mikhail Sergachev trade last summer, has spent the entire year with Tampa Bay thus far, collecting six goals and 12 points in 49 games.
