A sluggish start, but a strong finish for the Seattle Seahawks (13-3), who are now on the doorstep of the NFC West title and the No. 1 seed. What was a 3-3 score at the half with the Carolina Panthers (8-8) turned into a 27-10 rout.

Seattle took full advantage of the second turnover and built a 17-3 lead as Sam Darnold connected with AJ Barner for a touchdown. At the time of this article's publication, the Seahawks currently lead 17-10 at the start of the fourth quarter.

The Seattle Seahawks extended their current win-streak to six games following their 27-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Seattle has improved to 13-3 for the first time since 2013 (more on that shortly) and remain in full control of their own destiny for the No. 1 seed for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Seattle Seahawks went into the half against the Carolina Panthers tied with a much inferior team. They finished the game, showing that the first half was more of a fluke than anything else. Not to mention, the Seahawks just made adjustments better than the Panthers did. In fact, they caught Carolina off guard.

Seattle’s defense had two takeaways and dominated throughout to help lead the Seahawks to a sixth consecutive victory.

Sam Darnold threw for 147 yards, one touchdown and one interception while completing 66.7% of his passes. Darnold once again struggled with turnovers as the Seahawks quarterback not only threw an interception but had a fumble.

A difficult third-quarter stretch not only squandered the Panthers a chance at a win — but also an early berth into the playoffs.

Seattle took away vertical and middle-field options while simultaneously blanketing check downs with a combination of consistent pressure. Although the Seahawks are beatable on defense, as evidenced by the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16, the Panthers simply are not far along enough to best a Super Bowl-ready unit—at least not yet.
