One of the original catalysts for why SoundHound AI (NASDAQ: SOUN) went on a massive run was that it was revealed that Nvidia invested in it. This automatically gave SoundHound credibility as to its position in the artificial intelligence (AI) arms race.

Nvidia had a rocky start to the year. That has done little to dull its popularity among individual investors, many of whom are positioning for the shares to rally after Wednesday’s earnings report.The graphics-chip maker lost nearly $600 billion in market value in a single session in late January when news of a lower-cost artificial-intelligence model from Chinese company DeepSeek temporarily rattled investors’ confidence in the AI trade.

What happens with Nvidia matters for the entire U.S. stock market. The chip company has grown into the second-largest company on Wall Street, which means the stock’s movement carries more weight on the S&P 500 and other indexes than every company except Apple. The tech giant, based in Santa Clara, California, is now worth over $3 trillion.
