The 37-year-old was shot in a residential area in Minneapolis on Wednesday, in front of a family member. Local police said she was shot in the head.
The woman shot and killed by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday was Renee Nicole Macklin Good, a 37-year-old mother of three who had recently moved to Minnesota.
Renée Good and her partner had moved to Minneapolis last year from Kansas City, Missouri, her ex-husband said.
ABC News reported that Good suffered gunshot wounds to the head, citing city officials. She was then transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the outlet.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Dozens gathered in Cedar Rapids on Saturday for a vigil and funeral procession in remembrance of Renee Good, the woman shot and killed by an ICE officer this past week in Minneapolis. The group protested across the street from the Federal Courthouse.
Renee Good, the woman who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday, had ties to the Kansas City area.
Social media users mistakenly claimed a photo of another woman was actually Macklin Good, who was fatally shot by an ICE agent in January 2026.
That incident followed the fatal shooting of Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother, on Jan. 7. DHS officials said Good was allegedly attempting to run over law enforcement officers when an ICE officer fatally shot her -- a claim that local officials have disputed.
