One person was in critical condition, and rescuers were left searching for trapped pets after a fireworks explosion flattened part of a home in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles Thursday morning.

A home appeared to have partially collapsed after an explosion was reported at the Pacoima home, officials said. At least one person was injured.

A dog was seen sitting among the wreckage of a Pacoima house fire which left a man in critical condition Thursday morning. Authorities said it's believed to have been caused by fireworks and an explosion.
