Senate committee report calls for better co-ordination of wildfire response
OTTAWA — Canada needs to create an office to co-ordinate responses to wildfire emergencies and fund a new national fleet of modern firefighting aircraft, says a new Senate report released Wednesday.
Sam Graves, the Missouri Republican who chairs the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, is joining a growing list of lawmakers deciding not to seek reelection this year.
On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961.
