Trump's release of a spending blueprint for the upcoming budget year will set in motion a debate that's full of uncertainty. Here are some dates you need to know.

The mayor would present his executive budget June 28. From June 29 to Aug. 15, amendments could be submitted. Public hearings will take place on Aug. 7 and 14.
A copy of the proposed budget is also available on the city’s website. The final 2017 budget request will be discussed and voted on twice, first on Oct. 4 with a final reading and vote on Oct. 18.
