New England cornerback Christian Gonzalez was named to Belichick’s All-Star team, along with Chiefs offensive lineman Joe Thuney, who was listed as a guard. Gonzalez was Belichick’s first-round pick during his final draft in New England, while Thuney was a Patriots third-rounder in 2016.

The Oregon product was the final first-round draft pick by the legendary coach. He recorded 59 tackles, two interceptions and 11 pass deflections in a year where he was recognized with his first All-Pro nod. The standout corner was also fifth in AP voting for the Comeback Player of the Year award.
