More than $50 billion will be required to rebuild Gaza after the 15-month Israel-Hamas conflict in the Palestinian enclave, according to an assessment released by the United Nations, the European Union and the World Bank on Tuesday.

Reconstruction and recovery needs in Gaza are estimated to require $53 billion, according to the Gaza & West Bank Interim Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (IRDNA).

Following 15 months of Israeli attacks, a joint report by the World Bank, the United Nations and the European Union has found that reconstructing Gaza will take around $53 billion, with the largest portion needed to rebuild people's homes.
