Winter Weather Warnings in 9 States as 22 Inches of Snow to Hit
The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for parts of California and Alaska, where up to 22 inches of snow could be recorded in some areas. Lower winter weather advisory notes are also in place for seven other states as a wave of inclement weather sweeps across central and eastern parts of the country.

Another winter storm is making its way into Georgia on Tuesday. Gov. Brian Kemp issued a state of emergency and local school districts have canceled classes or moved to virtual learning. Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan is tracking the storm that will bring up to 2 inches of snow in areas later Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory at 3:07 a.m. EST on Saturday valid from 11 a.m. EST until Sunday 1 a.m. EST for Houghton County.
UPDATE: Winter weather advisory forecast to expire at 9 a.m., says the NWS
"The threat of winter weather has ended, but there could be a few areas of slick spots on untreated roads. Use caution while driving," according to the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC. The advisory is in effect until 9 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Sacramento area until Sunday at 4 p.m., with wind gusts up to 55 mph and a 70% chance of rain, and the Placerville area expecting 4 to six inches of snow.
