Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals will face the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 4 of this NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup on Monday.

As much as the Hurricanes won Game 4, the Capitals lost it with a lack of execution at too many key times. Like in Game 3, they had chances in the first 10 minutes to seize control of the game. They couldn't finish.

The Washington Capitals aren't in panic mode yet, but they feel a sense of urgency as they look to even the series and get back on track against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday.

The team captain's third-period goal also broke a new NHL record. The Capitals announced, "Ovechkin scores his fifth goal of the playoffs to cut the deficit to 3-2. With the goal, Ovechkin passed Mario Lemieux (76) for the 12th-most playoff goals in NHL history.

After a 4-0 win in Game 3 on Saturday night, the Carolina Hurricanes are looking to take both games at home against the Washington Capitals. The two teams face off in Game 4
