Sovereignty defeated Journalism on Saturday in a Kentucky Derby rematch to win the 157th Belmont Stakes, the second hosted at Saratoga.

Kentucky Derby winner, Sovereignty, is set for a rematch with Preakness Stakes winner, Journalism, having finished first and second, respectively, in the first leg of the Triple Crown. Journalism was originally favored to win the 2025 Kentucky Derby with 5-1 morning line odds.

Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty ran right by Preakness Stakes winner Journalism at mid-stretch and charged on to a definitive victory in Saturday's $2 million, Grade I Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course in New York.
