Lawmakers focused first on flood-related bills Monday night and tackled other legislation including a THC ban, property taxes and deed fraud.

Senate Bill 8 would require people to use restrooms and locker rooms that match their sex assigned at birth in public schools and government buildings.

The Texas Senate passed several items on the special session agenda late Monday. They included nearly $300 million in flood relief.
