Tottenham manager Thomas Frank hailed Richarlison's stunning display against Burnley but urged caution over his fitness, stressing the need to manage him carefully.
Frank used a 4-2-3-1 formation but, surprisingly, Lucas Bergvall was the most advanced midfielder. He pressed Burnley’s defence along with Richarlison and went on a couple of impressive driving runs with the ball. Throughout pre-season, Pape Matar Sarr tended to be the most advanced midfielder.
A goal in each half for Richarlison including, an acrobatic bicycle kick, along with a third from Brennan Johnson, proved the difference between Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley despite Scott Parker’s
