SEATTLE — The excitement in the Yankees’ dugout came to a sudden and horrifying stop Monday night in the ninth inning when Oswaldo Cabera, among the most popular players on the club for several years running, suffered what appeared to be a severe left leg injury and had to be taken off the field via ambulance.

New York Yankees third baseman Oswaldo Cabrera was taken off the field in an ambulance during the ninth inning of Monday's 11-5 win against the Seattle Mariners ( box score ). Cabrera sustained an apparent lower leg injury while scoring from third base on a sacrifice fly from Aaron Judge.
