MSNBC will rebrand as MS Now later this year as Comcast separates the network from NBC News, marking a push for independence and a new corporate identity.
Since 1991, NBC Sports and Notre Dame Football have partnered to bring Notre Dame home games to the NBC airwaves, delivering some of the most memorable moments in Fighting Irish history. In 2023 the partnership was officially extended, keeping Notre Dame on NBC's airwaves through 2029.
NBC will showcase opening night, and there also will be Sunday Night Basketball, Peacock NBA Monday and Coast 2 Coast Tuesday.

The change comes as MSNBC and other Comcast cable networks are set to spin off into a separate company, Versant, led by Mark Lazarus. In addition to MSNBC, CNBC, Golf Channel, GolfNow, and SportsEngine will also be joining Versant and all will be losing the iconic Peacock logo.
The first regular-season Sunday Night Football game takes place on September 7 when the Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. It’s not technically a Sunday Night Football game, but the Chicago Bears host the Buffalo Bills at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
