The idea that Marc Marquez could wrap up the 2025 MotoGP title at the San Marino Grand Prix, which is the race after next, began as little more than fantastical speculation.

The six-time MotoGP world champion is undefeated since June and is rapidly closing in on another riders title.

Johann Zarco (LCR Honda) fell late on at Turn 8 defending against Ogura, with Jack Miller (Pramac) crashing twice, while Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse), Joan Mir (Honda) and Enea Bastianini (Tech3) all fell out of the race.
