They suffered an 88-84 loss, falling to 18-16 on the season. Without Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever have struggled to maintain their consistent play, especially on the offensive end, and have even taken a dip in ratings.
The Fever guard responded in the comments with a series of heart and prayer emojis to offer love and comfort to her partner. Other messages of support soon followed, including one from Clark’s teammate Lexie Hull, who also reacted with heart emojis. The gesture reflected how those close to McCaffery and Clark came together amid the loss.
Sonia Citron led the Washington Mystics to an 88-84 victory over the Indiana Fever on Friday evening. Citron had 21 points, three rebounds and two assists in the victory. The rookie went 6-of-13 from the field, including 3-for-5 from 3-point range. She also made all six of her free throw attempts.
