A person who police say was stabbing a family member in Concord early Tuesday morning was shot to death by at least one officer, the department said.

Concord Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting where a man was fatally shot while attacking a relative with a knife. The victim is expected to survive; the area is closed for investigation.

The fatal police shooting happened at a home on the 1900 block of Natoma Drive, where officers found a man actively stabbing a relative.
