ATLANTA — The start of the White Sox’ series opener against the Braves was delayed Monday evening as rain passed through Atlanta. Truist Park was dry at the originally scheduled 6:10 p.m. start time, but storms in the area prompted the delay of first pitch till 6:32 p.m.
According to the reports, the rain delay is scheduled to end at 7:30 p.m. ET. Spencer Strider is getting the start for the Braves, while Yoendrys Gomez gets the nod for the White Sox. Luckily for Braves. and White Sox fans at the ballpark or at home, there isn't set to be much rain for the rest of the evening.

The leadoff spot is still Jurickson Profar’s at the moment, and the following two slots with Matt Olson and Ronald Acuña Jr. are the same as well.
